Summary
Selwyn College MCR (Middle Combination Room) is the society for post-graduate members of Selwyn College, one of the thirty-one colleges of the University of Cambridge.
Description
The MCR exists to help make graduate life at Selwyn more enjoyable by arranging events for its members, and providing a comfortable environment in which to relax after a hard day's work. The MCR has a room in Cripps Court, just across the road from the main part of College, in which there are satellite TV, daily papers, and free tea and coffee.
The MCR is run by a student volunteer committee, who can be contacted if there are any concerns or issues you wish to raise. The committee also arrange events throughout the year at which postgraduate students can get to know each other outside of the confines and rigors of research. These events have, in the past, included formal dinners, cocktail evenings, and ceilidhs.
The purpose of the MCR is to create a friendly, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all graduate students, particularly for those from different countries and cultures.
