Description
The Cambridge and District branch of the RSPCA is responsible for a variety of practical animal welfare work within the South Cambridgeshire area. We operate a subsidised animal clinic; a rehoming service for animals collected by the inspectors and a veterinary voucher scheme for owners on benefits who cannot reach our Cambridge clinic. This includes a pet neutering scheme to prevent litters of unwanted animals. We have three charity shops, in Newmarket and Cambridge and hold various fund-raising activities during the year. Volunteers are always needed. Our Cambridge charity shops are Emporium 61 at 61 Burleigh Street, Cambridge (next the Grafton Centre) and the RSPCA Bookshop at 188 Mill Road. 20% discount at the RSPCA Secondhand Bookshop on presentation of any Student card.
