Summary
The College was founded in 1496, and it originally consisted of buildings taken over from the nunnery of St Mary and St Radegund: namely the chapel, and the cloister attached to it
Description
Jesus is a great place to study, live and socialise as a grad student in Cambridge. It has a strong reputation in the university for having one of the most active graduate societies, and the MCR features prominently in the experience of most Jesus grads. The dedicated committee works hard to put on a wide range of social, sporting, cultural and academic events which foster interaction and friendships among grad students, not only during Freshers' Fortnight but throughout the year. The MCR committee is made up of students from a variety of courses, years and subjects, although we try to always have at least one first year on the committee. The committee meets once a fortnight during term time to discuss issues that effect graduates and plan the social and other events that the MCR puts on. Members of the committee also sit on all the college level committees representing graduates to the fellows and departments of college.
