The Homerton Union of Students is similar to what other colleges call a JCR, but also includes PGCE students. We are defined by our Constitution, which is updated to meet the needs of students.

The Homerton Union of Students is similar to what other colleges call a JCR, but also includes PGCE students. We are defined by our Constitution, which is updated to meet the needs of students. We provide services that include: representation in the university and beyond, welfare advice and support, entertainment, publications and the support of college societies. There is an elected president (currently a sabbical officer) and an elected Executive Committee (HUS Exec) who take responsibility for carrying out the aims and activites of the HUS. HUS Exec members sit on committees of the college to ensure that students concerns are taken into consideration in decision making. The Exec is be resposible for the day to day running of the HUS and is accountable to the student body via Open Meetings.
