Summary
The University of Cambridge has probably the best equipped and most professionally run university theatre in the country, and it is run and maintained entirely for your benefit as a student in Cambridge.
Description
Fancy getting involved in the theatre scene in Cambridge? Browse the roles in the menu to the left to find your ideal position. All student shows at the ADC are produced & directed by, acted in, lit and designed entirely by students. Students new to Cambridge are unlikely to have undertaken the role of Producer in shows before, but those who give it a go are frequently rewarded by the close contact they have with all dramatic and creative components of the show. Fancy making the transition from actor to Director? Watch your theatrical vision for a show come to life by giving it a go. Acting in shows is open to those both with and without prior experience. There is a great network of amateur dramatics actors in Cambridge using the ADC as their hub. If backstage is more your thing, there is lots of scope for getting involved in the production team of shows. Roles include Stage Manager, Technical Director, Lighting Designer and Electricians, Set and Costume Designers, Make-up Artist and Publicist. Over the years the CUADC Committee has amassed great experience in all these roles. Feel free to find the relevant members at our weekly ClubNight or browse through our detailed online guides to each role.
